CAT Notification 2020 brings with it a happy news
All the MBA aspirants can gear up because the CAT notification for the 2020 admissions is out! After an ambiguous wait and uncertainty because of the pandemic, the Indian Institutes of Management have released the important dates for CAT 2020.
The CAT exam is a computer-based entrance test for admission to MBA in various B-Schools across India. The important dates this year are:

While the CAT 2020 notification is out, the official website says that the schedule is subject to change in case the COVID-19 situation changes. As per the disclaimer, the exam will be conducted taking into account the ongoing crisis. Any directions given by the central, or state governments could result in a change in the released dates and data.
The IIM-CAT website has further information such as the information bulletin, important disclaimers, percentile score calculation, the scoring process, etc. As per the Eligibility criteria, the candidates for CAT must fulfill one of the following conditions:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks*.
- Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with required percentage*.
- Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage*.
*SC/ST/PwD candidates should have a minimum of 45%. For General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum is 50%.
The reservation and additional information can be accessed here. The registration guide and video will soon be available on the official website. All the necessary certificates in case of a reserved category have also been provided to make the registration process convenient.
With the pandemic still hovering over our heads, the admissions this year will be very different from what we have been seeing so far. With almost 3 lakh students applying for CAT every year, it is one of the most sought-after post-graduation entrances in the country. This exam enables the applicants to be able to get admission into IIMs and over 1200 other B-Schools in India. CAT is one exam that has students from every background performing well. So, with the release of this notification, many students who were waiting to begin their journey in the MBA world can take their first step.
