Describe in detail each round of the selection process for getting a job at ITC Infotech?
Aptitude Test
The rounds were really difficult to crack. It required a lot of out of the box thinking. The first step is the aptitude round. For this, one needs to thoroughly practice quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning. Secondly, a concise overview of my stint at my previous job helped me a lot in terms of knowledge and confidence. I also gave special attention to my summer internship project. Last but not least, basic domain knowledge of finance was an integral part of cracking the interview.
Group Discussion
Group Discussion was the hardest part of the selection process. It required a lot of preparation. Constant practice of mock Group Discussions is essential. Here one needs to put forward their points in the least amount of time. Good knowledge of current affairs can play to your advantage. Our topic of discussion was how the instability of the Chinese economy would affect the world economy. The group discussion helped me get creative and gave me more confidence to speak in public.
Personal Interview
The interview experience was one of a kind. I was asked a lot of questions regarding my previous job experience in the field of telecom engineering. They also posed a fair mix of technical questions and also regarding my summer internship project. Apart from my domain knowledge, they tested my business understanding. A few questions were also asked regarding relocation to a different state and the reason behind choosing PGDM in finance after engineering. Being a part of the debating society of my college really helped me close this interview satisfactorily!
