Entrance exam date and other details of JEE, NEET, TS EAMCET, WBJEE, and CETs’ 2021

The time has arrived for students looking out for undergraduate courses in medical sciences as well as engineering to apply and take several common entrance tests all around India. Some of these are conducted Centrally while some are State level entrance exams. NEET, JEE, WBJEE, MHCET are some examples. In order to ensure that the students do not miss out on any opportunities coming their way, here is the NEET and JEE exam date and other details, along with schedules of other State level entrance exams.

NEET and JEE exam date & other details

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a national level test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for students willing to pursue undergraduate courses in medical, dental sciences as well as AYUSH courses. Joint Entrance Examination, like NEET, is also a national level exam conducted for students willing to pursue undergraduate courses in engineering.

The official entrance exam date for NEET 2021 has not been declared yet. It is likely to be conducted in May. The Government, due to the pandemic and several other considerations, is also mulling over conducting NEET twice a year. The final decision has not been announced yet.

JEE exam is taken in two stages: JEE Main and JEE advanced. This year JEE Main is being conducted in four sessions. The entrance exam date is given below: 

Session-1: 23-Feb-2021 to 26-Feb-2021 

Session-2: 15-Mar-2021 to 18 Mar-2021 

Session-3: 27-Apr-2021 to 30-Apr-2021 

Session-4: 24-May-2021 to 28-May-2021

JEE Advanced, to be conducted with students who cross the cutoffs set in JEE Main, is scheduled to happen on the 3rd of July, 2021.

Other CETs: Entrance exam date & other details 

WBJEE

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2021 is a centralised test conducted by WBJEE Board for admissions in the private and Governmental engineering colleges in West Bengal. This year, the entrance exam date for WBJEE is July 11, and the registrations are likely to begin soon at its official website wbjeeb.nic.in.

TS EAMCET

Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test ( TS EAMCET ) 2021, regulated by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, is for students who are willing to take admissions in undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses in the colleges of the state of Telengana. This year it is to be conducted from 5th to 9th July. Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) entrance exam date is July 1 while admission into PG courses through TS PGCETs will begin from June 20. Other details are yet to be announced.

MHT CET

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2021 grants admissions to students in engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses in the various government and private colleges of Maharashtra. This test is conducted by the State common entrance test cell, Government of Maharashtra. The entrance exam date is yet to be announced but the test is likely to happen in the 2nd-3rd week of April 2021.

KCET

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is organized by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), for admissions of students in engineering and pharmacy courses in the colleges of the state of Karnataka. The registration for the exam is to start in February itself. The entrance exam date has not been announced but is likely to happen in the last week of July.

UKSEE 2021

UKSEE (Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam) is organized by Uttarakhand Technical University for admissions in engineering, pharmacy and many other courses. The entrance exam date is likely to be in the third week of May 2021. The registrations are going to begin by the last week of April 2021.

Other entrance exams

VITEEE

VIT engineering entrance exam is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology for UG admissions into various B.Tech Programmes at VIT Vellore, AP, Chennai, Bhopal and other branches. The registrations for the same have begun, the entrance exam date is from 18th to 26th June, 2021. 

SRMJEE

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination or SRMJEEE, conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) is an annual test conducted for admission of students in its B.Tech programme offered in all its branches. The registrations are now open, and the last date to apply is 31st March 2021. The entrance exam date is likely to be in the 1st or 2nd week of April 2021.

BITSAT

Birla Institute of Technology Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an online entrance test conducted by BITS Pilani for admissions in Integrated first-degree courses in its campuses in Goa, Pilani, etc. The registrations are currently going on and would close in the 2nd week of March 2021. The entrance exam date is likely to fall in the 3rd or 4th week of May 2021.
