FMS Shortlist 2020 for Extempore-GD-PI declared

On grounds of the CAT 2019 result, declared on 4th January, the Faculty of Management Studies, FMS, has announced its candidates' shortlist for the next round of Extempore, GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview) for the year 2020. 

In light of the shortlist criteria, FMS has revealed Composite Scores which, in other words, are the minimum cut-offs for various categories. On the basis of these scores, the institute has declared the list of candidates that are eligible to sit for the rounds of GD/ Extempore and PI. 

Category-wise Cut-off Composite Score 

While the batch of 2020-22 of FMS is set to take 251 students, a detailed breakdown of the composite scores for different categories is stated below: 

The number of seats that are available in the categories of CW, PH and Foreign Students are supernumerary. Under the category of Foreign Students, i.e., for 12 seats, the admission process will be conducted on the basis of screening. 

The Composite Score tabulated above is calculated by giving a weightage of 40%, 30% and 30% to the marks scored in the sections of VARC, LR/DI and QA. In addition to the above scores, 3 marks will be added to the score-bucket of female candidates. 

The scores have been calculated as follows - 

Net Composite Score = ∑ (Weightage * Score in one Section)/ Max. marks for that Section (Rounded off to 3 decimal places)

Important Updates

The list of eligible candidates (under reserved categories) for the rounds of GD/ Extempore/ PI has been curated with regard to the Reservation rules followed by the University of Delhi. Prior to the declaration of final results, a careful examination of all the relevant documents will be done.

The rounds of GD/ Extempore/ PI for FMS Delhi are scheduled to be held from 14th April 2020. The candidates who have been shortlisted are required to fill in a proforma, which is available on the official website of FMS. Students will be required to bring the duly filled-in proforma along with the relevant documents which will be verified against the original mark sheets and certificates before the commencement of the GD/ Extempore/ PI rounds. 

The following self-attested documents along with the proforma will be required on the day the rounds of GD/ Extempore/ PI will be conducted:

• DOB Certificate (Date of Birth)
• Mark sheet of Class 10
• Mark sheet of Class 12
• Score Card of CAT 2019
• Reservation Claim Certificate/s (if any)
