Eleven meritorious students of Singapore-headquartered Global Indian International School (GIIS) have been selected for an all-expenses-paid 2-year scholarship to their flagship Singapore SMART campus. The students were selected from across India through a meticulous screening and evaluation process from a pool of 6000 applications. 

The Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) would cover all the expenses of the students including boarding, lodging, uniform, books, pocket money, travel cost, and school fee for 2 years. The selected students will leave for Singapore towards the end of this year. 

Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) selection procedure

The selection process for the scholarship consists of 3 rounds that involve an online examination and a couple of virtual interviews. 

Round 1

Online examination

The paper pattern would be as follows:

150 MCQs

  • English: 40 Questions
  • Mathematics: 40 Questions
  • Basic Sciences: 40 Questions
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning: 30 Questions

Who can apply?

Students who fulfill the below criteria can apply for Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS):

  • 85% in Grade 9 Annual Examination and 90% in Grade 10 Pre-board Examination in CBSE or ICSE
  • 7A or above in Grade 9 Annual Examination and 8A or above in Grade 10 Pre-board Examination in IGCSE
  • The equivalent of 85+ percent in Grade 9 Annual Examination and Grade 10 Pre-board Examination for American Board, state board, and other public examinations

How to apply for Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS)?

Fill the Enquiry Form on the GIIS website. Eligible applicants will be sent an email through which they will be able to access link to the application form.

Keep scanned copies of these documents ready in advance:

  • Mark sheet of Grade 10 Pre-board/Half Yearly Examination
  • Mark sheet of Grade 9 Final Examination
  • Certificates of extra-curricular achievements
  • Passport or receipt of passport applied for

Fill in all the required details in the application form.

Upload all the relevant documents and submit your application form. Eligible candidates will be sent a confirmation email and an admit card for appearing in the online exam as per the date of preference.

Important dates

The last date to submit the application form is:

  • 7th January 2022 for candidates who have opted for the online exam on 15th January 2022
  • 8th February 2022 for candidates who opted for the online exam on 13th February 2022
  • 29th March 2022 for candidates who opted for the online exam on 3rd April 2022
