Aashish Jhunjhunwala from IIM Calcutta is no ordinary human being. A Chartered Account who holds an undying love for the field of Finance, he also has the certifications of CFA, CS and FRM under his belt. And this is not all. Known for getting more than 100 shortlists and his ability to convert 15 companies on day 1 of his summer placements, Aashish has been the unconventional star of his B-School too.

Laying bare the story of his life, Aashish describes his experience of the B-School life at IIM Calcutta and goes on to talk about his love for Finance and how it has helped him pave his career trajectory. Also amongst the students who went abroad for an exchange program, Aashish, undeniably, has been on a roller coaster ride that’s only known to go up.

Not known to give in to his whims, Aashish mentions how he applied for placements in every possible organization, not being choosy about the domain he’d like to specifically work in. With this, he goes on to describe in detail the intricacies of bagging a final placement at B-School.

This conversation aptly describes the nitty-gritty of a B-School life, what it looks like on the inside for a non-engineering graduate, the hows of getting placed at your dream company and answers a common question - “Can you get into Finance without prior knowledge?”

To hear Aashish explain what it takes to convert 15 companies on day 1, the domain of Finance and his B-School journey at IIM Calcutta, watch the video above.
