JPMorgan Chase, a pioneer in financial services worldwide with a history dating back over 200 years, offers a repertoire of opportunities in the domain of Finance and Banking. An internship at JPMorgan Chase would allow me to delve deep in the field of my passion, Finance. So, when I got this lucrative offer of doing an internship, I graced this opportunity with open hands.
The selection process of the JPMorgan Chase was simple and well-organized. It consisted of two rounds of:
The selection process of JPMorgan Chase allows the interviewer to gauge the personality of the potential employees. Apart from the usual CV-based questions, I faced a mix of competency, motivational, technical, and commercial sales based questions. Cracking JPMorgan Chase’s selection process was quite challenging and I was on cloud nine after breezing through it.
The role on offer was Quantitative Modelling and Asian Market Research that intrigued me to the core. The world of numbers had always fascinated me and now I had a wonderful chance to test my love in reality. Since I was working in the domain of my interest, I tried to give it my best shot. Work pressure, stringent deadlines, and grueling challenges were secondary to me as I was deeply focused on the work in hand. On a personal note, I believe that my work-oriented approach made my internship at JPMorgan Chase a seamless experience.
Doing an internship at JPMorgan Chase allowed me to refine my understanding of Global Market analysis and Quantitative Modelling. Given the domain of my role, it was quite natural for me to improve in these areas. What was unique about my internship at JPMorgan Chase was the fact that I could also build upon my soft skills. After my internship at JPMorgan Chase, I feel that I have enhanced my Time Management, Communication, and Problem Solving skills.
JPMorgan Chase has a commendable work culture. The icing on the cake is the competitive work environment that only inspires you to work harder. At each step, there will be people, ready to help you out. There was no need for an official team outing as there was enough time to mingle with my fellow teammates in the office itself. This relaxed work environment amazed me the most.
I think, right now, I am not in a hurry to decide my future course of action. I am still unaware of the innumerable opportunities that the future beholds and I would like to have a taste of each of them before making the final move. At the current moment, I can only present my heartfelt gratitude to JPMorgan Chase for offering me an excellent work opportunity.
In a nutshell, doing an internship at JPMorgan Chase proved to be a turning point in my life. I had enough room for introspection which allowed me to identify my weaknesses and continuously strive for excellence. I certainly could not have asked for anything more than this. My internship at JPMorgan Chase filled my heart with satisfaction to the core.
