How an internship at Monitor Deloitte helped me become an ace at Excel VBA | Sukoon’s story

Monitor Deloitte, previously known as Monitor Group is a worldwide consulting practice which was established 35 years ago by a group of innovative entrepreneurs. It specializes in an assortment of the board territories. These include Corporate and Speciality Unit Procedure, Client and Promoting System, Advanced Technique, Development and Evaluating Methodology and Profitability management. Consulting has been my passion since my childhood days. I had a dream to work in one of the Big 4 organizations in consulting management one day. Hence, when I got an opportunity to do an internship at Monitor Deloitte, it was like a dream come true. Knowing the vast learning and growth opportunities here, I knew I had taken one step closer to my dream job.

What is the selection process for an internship at Monitor Deloitte?

The selection process for my internship at Monitor Deloitte was quite simple. It just comprised of a Personal Interview. The interview carried questions related to case studies. The case studies were related to different projects which the organization had already executed. Constant practice and good knowledge of current affairs will greatly help you in cracking the interview.

What did I learn during my internship?

During my internship at Monitor Deloitte, I was given the role of a Consultant. I shared my expertise and knowledge to help my organization to achieve its goals. I had to work on multiple projects which increased my efficiency and time management skills. In addition, I worked on Excel VBA macro and improved my presentation and design skills. Everything that I learned here improved me both as a person and as a professional.

I moved to Mumbai for my internship at Monitor Deloitte. I had already been to Mumbai 2 years ago. So, adjusting to the lifestyle was not an issue for me. My first outing was a Deloitte team party. I had a lot of fun and connected with my peers on a personal level. The guidance of the leaders of the organization has shaped me into a better work professional. The learnings that I gained here is surely unmatched with respect to any other organization. I would love to get a full-time job here as this is “The Perfect Place” to work!
