What is the selection process for an internship at Reliance Industries Limited?

The selection process for an internship at Reliance Industries Limited had the following components:

1. Shortlisting on the basis of CV
2. Group Discussion
3. Personal Interview

The first step was shortlisting on the basis of CV. The shortlisted candidates had to then appear for a Group Discussion. The selected candidates had to appear for the final round, that of a Personal Interview.

What did I learn during my internship?  

My role during the internship was that of improving the Management Information Systems also termed as MIS at the CEO’s office. Talking about my learnings, I gained a good understanding of the work process. I also had the opportunity to interact with key members of Reliance Industries Limited and thus, developed a deeper understanding of Business Intelligence.

For my internship, I had to move to Ahmedabad for two months. A city known for its tourist attractions, Ahmedabad did not disappoint me. I interacted with my senior leaders during an Industrial Visit which gave me an insight into the workings of Reliance. The best part of my internship was that they not only focused on work projects but also on personality development. This ensured that my internship was a holistic experience.

One of the key takeaways from my internship was the working and interaction with the CEO and HODs. It was truly an amazing experience and I am looking forward to working with them. If presented with a chance, I will grab it with both hands.

Overall, my internship at Reliance Industries Limited was a memorable experience for me. I got opportunities to develop my hard as well as soft skills.
