It can be a life-changing step to work with a startup! It may sound fun but you need to hit the target just right to make it. I was excited when I heard Delhivery was coming to our campus for Placements. Delhivery managed to cover 19,000 pin codes in a short duration of time. It goes to show the magnanimity of their vision and the fight their team is willing to put in. The passion and action-oriented attitude behind those figures gave me the drive to smash this interview. I had one mission and one mission only, to give this interview my all!

With the highest quality and cutting-edge technology, Delhivery is now the leading supply chain services firm. You can't perform casually to face an interview with a company like this. So, I started my preparations to be part of their talented and technocratic young team.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting on the basis of CV - The selection process was fairly simple and straightforward. They shortlisted candidates on the basis of their CVs. After this I truly could understand the true importance of having a spruced up CV.

  • Personal Interview - Post the shortlisting, candidates moved onto the next round which is the personal interview round. Personal interview rounds can be broken down to understand it better.

Major Focus Areas

This being a simple process made it that much more difficult. The candidates had only 1 chance to make it or break it! Here are some key areas relating to their top questions in the personal interview:

  • Work experience: To avoid a daunting experience, study your resume well before the D-day. Use succinct sentences, while answering something like what you did in your previous experience and how it prepared you for the current role. Show off your accomplishments and the things you've learned.

  • Situational questions: Take a deep breath, and don't let the monster trick you. Observe what the panelist is looking for in your answer. Apply your problem-solving skills and tell a good story. Also, be prepared for the unexpected.

  • Current scenario: Look at the knowledge of your current affairs. Make newspapers and business magazines your new buddies. Place informational sites on google alert and stay posted.

  • Global trade management: Since Delhivery deals with logistics and supply chains, it is a must to streamline your knowledge with global trade management. Read about how to improve operational efficiencies and cash flows. The aim is to concentrate on the startup's domain.

  • Give examples: Whether it's a technical concept or a personal question that tests your abilities, answer the panelists with a crisp example. This will portray you as a confident and smart candidate.

Above all, self-confidence is mandatory in order to crack the interview! Stay engaged and connected throughout the cycle. Focus on the goal to keep pushing yourself.
