How my internship with TAS helped me explore the scope of the Tata Group -By Sanya Godiyal from TISS Mumbai

As a student of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, I was thrilled to receive an internship with TAS. The internship is the Tata group’s flagship leadership programme for the campus as well as in-house talent. It is one of the most prestigious and sought-after organisations to work with, especially since it gives you the opportunity to explore the scope of the Tata Group. 

A journey of continuous learning

My internship with TAS, and the six weeks I devoted here were filled with continuous learning opportunities, and occasions to form genuine and lifelong bonds. I was initially intimidated by the talented people I was surrounded by, but over the course of the internship, I became comfortable enough to interact with others. 

The approachable environment I witnessed during my internship with TAS encouraged me to create networks with the talented stalwarts of the company, and learn valuable lessons from them. It was a novel experience to explore the vast portfolio of one of India's largest and most revered conglomerates, the Tata Group. 

A legacy to be proud of

My internship with TAS has truly been an enriching experience. I take pride in being a part of this legacy and contributing in whatever way possible, to the success of this esteemed organisation. After all, the giant corporation has several companies like Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, TCS, Tata Power, Titan, Taj Hotels, and many more under its sleeve, making the summer internship extremely valuable.

During my stint at TAS, I have learned how to effectively deal with real-life problems. It has also pushed my passion for Human Resource Management further, by giving me a better idea of how to manage resources effectively. There is a reason why an internship with TAS continues to be one of the most exclusive corporate training programs in the country. With its target to develop future management leaders within the Tata fraternity, I am grateful for my time here, and encourage others to apply for Tata-TAS!
