I did not weave any definite strategy. But I made sure to give my best. It was just a usual day when my hard work paid off and I was able to get an offer in pool campus placement among 150+ students. Here is an account of my journey to Bharti Axa.

A joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Axa business Group that operates in India, Bharti Axa offers general insurance products to retail and commercial clients. The selection process for securing a job in this company consists of:

  • CV shortlisting
  • Group discussion
  • Personal interview

After my CV was shortlisted, I appeared for the next round of the process, which was a group discussion. My topic was ‘Should exams be removed from the education?’ and I spoke against the topic.

Sailing through the tricky interview rounds

The interview panel consisted of the HR and Department Manager along with the team leader. They were looking for candidates with good communication skills.

The Personal Interview was quite long and lasted for about 55 minutes. The questions were majorly situational, as they were looking for candidates who were able the work pressure as insurance is a huge sector and the survival chances are very less.

The session was grilling as whatever I was saying they brought up ‘n’ number of questions from my single statement. The most tricky question was, “How will I survive in a huge market where competition is very tough?” and to that, I replied, “I had worked hard for gaining education when there were so many challenges but I still chose to give my best. Similarly, I will give my best at this company as well.”

My journey to Bharti Axa and road ahead

For cracking the placement process, I focused on gaining all the facts of the company and made sure to showcase the required skill which included the sales skills and impactful analysis of my internship. It is a great company to work with and further, I am looking forward to the rural marketing profile as I have a very good experience in this. So learning from their enriching work environment and growing by bagging the opportunities is what I aim for. Also, the buddy system and the opportunities to learn new skills of this huge brand cannot be ignored.
