The consulting sector made the most hires. Below is a breakdown of the companies in this sector and the offers they made. The leading 3 companies were: Accenture (31 offers), Deloitte (25 offers), and AT Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company (14 offers).
In the technology consulting sector, below is what happened:
- PricewaterhouseCoopers made 12 offers
- Larsen and Toubro Infotech Consulting made 4 offers
- Thoucentric made 2 offers, while Accenture Technology and Cognizant Consulting made 1 offer each.
Breakdown of finance offers (54)
Among global banks, Goldman Sachs made 7 offers, JP Morgan made 4, and Deutsche Bank, Citibank, HSBC made 2 offers each. Barclays and Standard Chartered made an offer each.
Among other investment firms, Avendus made 3 offers, and Matrix Partners, Axis Capital, Allegro Capital, Arpwood Capital, Tata Asset Management, True North made 1 offer each.
Among banks and financial firms: ICICI Bank made 8 offers, Societe Generale, Royal Bank of Scotland made 5 offers each, and ANZ made 3 offers.
Corporate finance roles were offered by Reliance Treasury (2) and EMAAR (1).

Even though the number of participating students was the same as in 2017, the number of placement offers has been on the rise.
This spelled a 100% success rate, and the 2-day placement gala added another feather to IIM Bangalore’s already well-studded hat. It is the first B-school in Asia to sign an agreement with Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) to distribute faculty teaching cases. It has also partnered up with Richard Ivey School of Business to distribute and co-brand faculty-authored case studies.
The institute is sewing new horizons of success and IIM Bangalore’s students plus visiting companies are in for the wonderful vistas, too.
