IIM Udaipur announces 18 online management courses

In light of the current global situation, all educational institutes are turning to virtual learning to ensure that students don't miss out. Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, has followed suit and introduced 18 online management courses. Students can choose to do these courses under HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Analytics etc. as voluntary or elective courses.

The era of e-learning

IIM Udaipur has set up infrastructure and processes to support virtual learning temporarily. The will ensure uninterrupted studying during the national lockdown for its 2019-2021 batch. Virtual learning has taken over the traditional educational approach for students amidst this global crises.

The structure of these courses is moulded and designed so that it can support the career requirements of students.

The Institute offers a wide range of online courses to choose from and after the successful completion of these courses students will be given two credits for the second year course requirement. Students can substitute the opted course with an elective course of two credits.

IIM Udaipur's director Janat Shah released a statement announcing these courses. He also emphasised on utilising virtual learning to ensure continued learning and growth. These steps taken are in line with the current trend of online learning, where students, as well as professionals, are spending time online in acquiring and refining their skills.

Subjects to choose from

For the benefit of students, the institute has authorized the learners to take greater than the minimum credits necessary. Other than the previously mentioned courses, there are courses on Supply Chain Management, Marketing Analytics, Channel Management, Financial Markets, Investment Planning, People Analytics, Emerging Technology for Business Leaders, Digital Product Management, and Project Management Fundamentals also are offered.

Initiatives like these highlight the importance of learning and the value of having relevant skills. The entire world is at a standstill with life being affected on all fronts, learning is one thing that will help us sail through. Online management courses and other virtual courses ensure that the youth of our nation will be ready to take back the reigns of progress and charge forward with renewed force.
