Kaun Banega Crorepati is a game show hosted by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. The Hindi-language adaptation of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, KBC is currently in its 15th season. Except for one season, all 14 seasons of KBC have been hosted by Bachchan.

In the video shared by Sony TV, Bachchan can be seen congratulating Singh for his incredible win. Singh then goes on to attempt the final question - worth INR 7 crore this season. It’s yet to be seen if he answers the final question correctly.

However, he’s already become the talk of the town by becoming the season’s first crorepati - especially when you take into account his humble origins.

Who’s Jaskaran Singh?

Jaskaran Singh hails from Khalra, a small village in Punjab. Singh is one of the handful of individuals from the village who’ve attained a graduate degree.

Life’s First Earning - INR 1 Crore

Singh shared that he wishes to win the KBC prize money to fulfill his childhood dream - giving his family a better future, one not riddled with limited resources and inconsistent opportunities.

“My family never let me feel the absence of anything. Today, whatever I do (or win), it’s for them only,” said Singh on the show. When he won INR 1 crore, he exclaimed that it was his life’s first earning.
