JEE MAIN 2021 question papers and answer keys for the first sessions exam that were held in February have been released by NTA (National Testing Agency) on their official website. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check the same by logging in to their account (Application number and password (or date of birth)). It can help the candidate in approximating the marks and rank that they will receive once the final result is declared.
February session result date
This year keeping the coronavirus pandemic in consideration the JEE MAIN exam was decided to be conducted in four sessions in the months of February, March, April, May. The result for the first session exam that was held from 23-26 February 2021 in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode will be declared on 7 March 2021. Similarly, for the other sessions, results will be declared within 1 week after the exam is conducted. The candidates can check their results on the official website by entering their Application number, date of birth, and security pin.
Provisional answer keys and JEE MAIN 2021 question papers
The Provisional answer along with the JEE MAIN 2021 question paper with recorded responses for the February session exam has been made available on the official JEE Main website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in for candidates to challenge.
Important points to remember while challenging the answer key
- The candidates, who are not satisfied with the answer key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of INR 200 per question challenged as a non-refundable processing fee.
- The payment of the processing fee may be made through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm up to 3 March 2021 (up to 06.00 PM).
- No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee.
- The facility to challenge the February session exam answer key is available from 1 March 2021 to 3 March 2021 (up to 05.00 PM).
- Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared.
- No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge.
- The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final.
Step-by-step process to challenge the JEE MAIN 2021 answer key
The candidates who are not satisfied by the answer key released and wish to challenge it can do the same by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official JEE Main website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click the ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’ option
- Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and then submit.
- Click the ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’ option.
- Candidates will see the following Question IDs in sequential order for the JEE Main February 2021:

- The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the correct answer key to be used by NTA.
- If the candidate wishes to challenge this option, they may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
- Candidates may want to upload supporting documents in which they can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).
- After clicking the desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics for B.E./Tech, Mathematics/Aptitude Test for B.Arch. and Mathematics/Aptitude Test/Planning for B.Planning scroll down, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.
- Candidates will see a display of all the Option IDs that they have challenged.
- Click on the ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’ option.
- Select Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.
