From J&J Imagivators To Supply Chain Internship - Pragati Tripathi Takes The Front Row Seat In Leading Healthcare
Pragati Tripathi shares her experience at J&J Imagivators season 3 and how she prepared to secure an internship at Johnson & Johnson - a story of driving real-world impact, exploring leading tech and learning how corporates work.
A Glimpse into Healthcare with Purpose
When you’re a student, most opportunities feel transactional— an assignment, a deadline, a submission. Rarely does something come along that not only challenges how you think, but also shifts how you see an entire industry. That’s what J&J Imagivators Season 3 was for me.
From the very first round, it pushed me beyond my comfort zone. And by the end of it, I walked away not just with learnings but also a deeper appreciation of what it means to work in healthcare with purpose, scale, and empathy.
The Quiz That Sparked Curiosity
J&J Imagivators Season 3 was both challenging and rewarding.
It began with a quiz that pushed me to explore Johnson & Johnson’s Credo, values, businesses, and the scale of its work. What started as a screening round turned into a genuine opportunity to understand how a healthcare company can operate with purpose at its core.
A Gamified Test of Thinking Under Pressure
The next stage was a gamified assessment. I’ve always enjoyed logic-based challenges and fast thinking, so I found this round especially engaging. It tested how I approached problems under time pressure, not just what I knew.
Immersion: Learning by Observing and Engaging
After being selected, I took part in a two-day immersion that brought the company’s work to life. I joined meetings, observed how teams operate, and interacted with leaders who spoke candidly about their roles and decisions. The conversations were direct and grounded, and they gave me a clearer picture of how large teams stay aligned while moving fast.
Highlight: Virtual Reality in MedTech
The VR session was another highlight. It gave me a close look at how technology is used in the MedTech space to improve outcomes in real clinical settings. It wasn’t abstract—it was specific and real.
The Field Visit: Lessons with the Leadership
I also spent a day in the field with a salesperson. That experience taught me a lot. I saw how trust is built with healthcare professionals, how technical knowledge is communicated clearly, and how persistence and patience play a role in every conversation.
The immersion ended with a team dinner. I had the chance to sit with senior leaders, ask questions I had been holding on to, and hear their honest reflections. It was thoughtful, open, and refreshing.
More Than Just a Competition
Throughout the experience, what stood out was how approachable people were and how clearly the company’s values showed up in the way they worked. I left with a better understanding of what meaningful work looks like in practice.
Looking back, J&J Imagivators Season 3 gave me context, clarity, and conviction. I now understand what it means to be part of an organization where values are not just words on a wall, but behaviours you see every day.
To anyone who’s considering participating: go for it. Not just to compete, but to discover. You’ll find the kind of learning that no classroom can teach.
