The National Testing Agency (NTA) organises the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for students aiming to join undergraduate medical programs like Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and AYUSH courses such as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) in India.

NEET Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must have completed Class 12 or its equivalent with core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( (Botany & Zoology). In the general category, students need at least 50% of PCB, while reserved category students require 40%.

Age Limit: Applicants need to be at least 17 years old. There is no longer an upper age limit for any category, which increases competition and lets more people apply.
