1000 Nestle India virtual internships for graduates and postgraduates!
With most big brand names going virtual with their internships this year, Nestle India has also decided to launch a virtual internship program, called ‘Nesternship’. In the middle of a pandemic, when students are struggling to come to terms with the changing job market, this could prove to be a valuable experience.
Nestle India says that the internship will aim towards skill-development of the interns. It will focus on enhancing their soft skills, through pre-recorded lessons, as well as refine their skills of writing up a CV. Young mentors in the organization will be appointed to guide the interns, as a part of making them more comfortable and for a smooth experience, said Mr Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle India.
Who can apply?
The internship will be open to graduates in the final year of any discipline as well as for post-graduates. Nestle India has rolled out 1000 vacancies, and plan to recruit talent from diverse fields and educational backgrounds.
The program will tentatively begin on August 3, 2020, and will continue for the next four months. With Nesternship, the organization plans to upskill 250 interns every month till November. The most important factor, according to Nestle India is the ‘discipline no bar’ rule as it leaves the internship opportunity open to virtually every young graduate and postgraduate.
Where to apply?
Registrations for the program are now open at Nestle India’s social media handles such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. The registrations opened on July 8 and will continue for the next three days, up to July 11.
After the registration, a shortlisting process will be carried out on the basis of several parameters such as - high school marks, graduation score, and other elements such as previous experience, if any. Each selected intern will receive Amazon Vouchers worth INR 5000 as a stipend.
According to the company, the experience that the internship will provide will prove to be invaluable. Skill development is an important part of preparing young people for the job market. It will give youngsters a chance to get familiar with a virtual working space. The coming times will demand a normalization of virtual workspaces. Especially until a vaccine is developed, and even after that, the ‘normal’ we would be returning to shall be different from what we have left behind.
