Eligibility Criteria for NIACL Recruitment 2025
Nationality
Applicants must be:
- Citizens of India, or
- Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugees (before 1 Jan 1962), or
- Persons of Indian origin migrated from select countries, with Government of India approval.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years), and other categories as per norms.

Selection Process for NIACL Recruitment 2025
The recruitment will be conducted in three phases:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
Online Objective Test (100 marks, 60 minutes)
Sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude
Phase II: Main Examination
Objective Test (200 marks)
- For Generalists: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude
- For Specialists: Above sections + Professional Knowledge in relevant discipline
Descriptive Test (30 marks) – English (Letter & Essay Writing)
Phase III: Interview
Final merit will be prepared on the basis of Main Exam + Interview.
Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer applies in both exams.
Service Conditions
- Minimum 5 years stay at initial posting location.
- Specialists may need to continue in the same stream for at least 10 years.
- Probation: 1 year (extendable up to 2 years). Confirmation subject to passing the Insurance Institute of India exam.
- Bond: Selected candidates must serve at least 4 years (including probation) or pay liquidated damages.
Salary & Benefits for NIACL Recruitment 2025
- Basic Pay: INR 50,925
- Gross Emoluments: Around INR 90,000 per month in metro cities
