Over The Wall Season 7: Marico's business challenge for B-Schoolers is a class by itself
Over The Wall Season 7 is an ultimate opportunity for students to discover a business leader in them.
What is the structure of Over The Wall Season 7?
The structure of Over The Wall Season 7 consists of the following stages.
Round 1:Campus Round
In the first round, the top 3 teams from each campus will face the Marico Panel. One Team from each campus will be crowned as the campus winner.
Round 2: Corporate Round
The corporate round includes top teams from campuses to present to the Marico CXO Panel. Out of all, only the top 3 teams will be chosen as winners of the corporate round.
Also, they stand a chance to bag Individual PPIs on the basis of their performance.
Round 3: Immersion Project Round
The selected top three teams will get an opportunity to work on a socially pertinent project or a project in the innovation sector. They will get to interact with the Marico Panel consisting of Marico’s Founder and Chairman, Mr. Harsh Mariwala along with other leaders.

What are the rules & regulations for the competition?
Here are the team guidelines:
- A team can comprise of a maximum of three students and a minimum of two students irrespective of their specializations.
- Students from the first year, as well as second year, are eligible to take part. Also, a student cannot be a part of more than one team.
- There is no cross campus participation.
- Students on exchange programs can take part in the challenge. Not more than one student can be on the exchange program. At least two students should be present during all the levels of the competition.
What are the guidelines for Over The Wall Season 7?
Campus Round & Corporate Round Guidelines
Students should have clarity about the following elements: Approach, Proposed Idea (along with assumptions, if any), Rationale, and Impact of the Proposed Idea.
The submission format of the idea should be a 2 pager PDF excluding cover page and references.
A cover page should have the team name, name of participants and college name. All the teams are required to submit their solutions online on the website.
Also, here is the nomenclature of the document: CollegeName_TeamName.
Each team can only present one solution. Once submitted, you cannot make changes to the solution. Solutions will be judged on the basis of relevance, innovativeness, the feasibility of implementation and impact.
Campus Round Guidelines
- The decision to conduct the Campus Round will depend on the first round of submissions and the quality of the solutions submitted. Also, Marico Ltd. has the authority to organize or cancel the Campus Round depending on the participation received.
- The top three teams of each campus will be mentioned on the company’s Facebook page. Also, they will get time to prepare their presentations for the Campus Round.
- Each selected team will get 15 minutes (excluding Q&A) to present their solutions to the Marico panel.
- One team from each campus will be a campus winner.
- After the completion of campus rounds, judges will select the teams for Corporate Round. Further, these teams will get a chance to present to the CXO panel at the Marico Head Office.
Corporate Round Guidelines:
- Top 3 teams from the Corporate Round will move to Immersion Project Round.
- The chosen teams will get a chance to work on a live project with Marico Innovation Foundation or the Marico CSR team.
- The teams will get a brief about their projects along with specific inputs to help them perform well.
- Students will get a chance to visit the field to understand the organization and the deliverables. Also, they will get to travel to different areas in India. Exposure to field activities will be an added advantage.
- Teams will have project guides and Marico mentors who will lead them in the right direction for project work.
- There will be regular meetings/calls with team guides and mentors to share regular feedback with the team.
- Also, students will get an opportunity to work on these projects for a month.
- After the completion of the project, the teams will face a panel comprised of Founder and Chairman of Marico, Mr. Harsh Mariwala and others.
- Other details will be shared separately with the qualifying teams.
What are the prizes for Over The Wall Season 7?
- The Campus Winner Team will get Rs 50,000.
- The National Winners will get Rs 5,00,000.
- The First Runners Up will get a reward of Rs 3,00,000.
- The Second Runners Up will get Rs 1,00,000.
- In addition, there will be PPIs for the top three teams.
