Power Grid, a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, is looking for bright, committed, and energetic engineering graduates to join as Engineer Trainees in Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Computer Science through GATE 2023.

Power Grid is one of the largest transmission utilities in the world. Founded in 1989, the enterprise has been making profit since its inception. Following are the details for the recruitment of fresh engineering graduates for Engineer Trainee positions. 

Power Grid Recruitment 2023 for Engineer Trainee: Eligibility Details

The candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023 as shown in the following table and should have qualified the same.

The candidates should have completed their full-time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA. The upper age limit for applying for this opportunity is 28 years as on 31st December 2022. 

Note: Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 14.08.2023 are also eligible to apply, provided they have obtained a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to the pre-final examination.

Power Grid Recruitment 2023: Selection Process & Remuneration

The selection process would include the following stages:

• Shortlisting based on GATE 2023 scores
• Group Discussion 
• Personal Interview

Remuneration

The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be paid a stipend in the form of basic pay of INR 40,000 along with IDA, HRA, and perks at 12% of basic pay during the training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the E2 scale.
