Randstad Employer Brand Research (RERR) 2018 has revealed that top tech-giant Microsoft India is the first choice of the employees followed by largest e-commerce company Amazon India.
Other top employers in India are Hindustan Unilever limited, IBM, ITC Group, Larsen & Toubro, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Sony, and Tata Consultancy Services.
According to the survey the employees chose a particular employer because of these reasons (see infographics), however, salary and allowances along with other employee benefits proved to be the main driving force in choosing an employer. Job security, Work-life balance, Flexible working hours, Career progression etc. also played a very important role.
Randstad conducted surveys in 30 countries and covered almost 75 percent of the global economy with more than 1,75,000 respondents worldwide which makes this survey a unique one.
The survey result is a big indicator to judge a company’s employer branding image and also the overall health and functioning of the organization.
The survey indicates that 45 percent of the respondents prefer job security and wants to stay with the current employer and nearly 43 percent of the employees switched due inadequate growth opportunities.
IT and ITes companies were are the most favored choice of 69 percent of the workforce due to their awareness initiatives and attractive packages and work-life, followed by automotive sector at 68 percent and FMCG at 67 percent.
This survey result can help an organization to improve its employee engagement policies to keep the workforce happy & satisfied and make an organization the most desired choice for employees and the future hires.
