RBI Recruitment 2022: Vacancies For More Than 200 Grade B Posts With A Starting Pay Scale Of INR 55,000 PM

India’s central bank, Reserve Bank of India, is hiring candidates for 294 vacancies for direct recruitment of Grade B officers across various departments such as Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and Department of Statistics and Information Management(DSIM). This is a great opportunity for candidates who are interested in working in RBI. 

RBI Grade B Recruitment Important Dates

Eligibility for RBI Recruitment 2022

Nationality: The candidate must be: 

• a citizen of India, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit (As on January 01, 2022)

• The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on January 01, 2022 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than January 02, 1992 and not later than January 01, 2001. 
• There is age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ex-employees of banking institutions/ex-servicemen/PwBD/candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification/candidates having experience as an officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks, Public Sector Insurance Companies and All India Financial Institutions (AIFI) namely Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), National Housing Bank (NHB) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), RBI/candidates having Master's Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognised Indian/Foreign University/Institute.

Selection Criteria For RBI Grade B Post

Candidates can apply for Grade B DR either in DEPR or DSIM stream. Hence, they need to mention the same i.e. 'RBI Officers in Grade 'B'-' DR' GENERAL/DEPR/DSIM (as applicable), in the subject of the email.

The starting basic pay of the selected candidates will be INR 55,200/-p.m. in the pay scale of Rs. 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) - 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B. They will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time.  For more detailed information, interested candidates can refer to this link.
