Recruitment at IIM Bangalore Final Placement 2020 Soars High!

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM B) has always adhered to its vision of fostering excellence in management, innovation, and entrepreneurship for business, government, and society. With successful placements every year, IIM B has continued to maintain its name in the leading B-schools of India. This year also, the corporates have shown undivided faith in the talent pool of IIM B.The quality of the batch has also been a major reason for the success of the IIM Bangalore Final Placement 2020.

The consulting sector dominated the placement session by offering 147 job roles. The majority of roles were rolled out by five firms - Accenture (26), Boston Consulting Group (23), Bain & Co (20), Kearney (15), and McKinsey & Co (14). They summed to 20 percent of the total jobs offered in final placement 2020.
Firms like Aditya Birla Group made 8 offers followed by Adani Group (7), Vedanta (6), Capgemini (5), EPIC Group (5), Tata Administrative Services (4), Zee Entertainment (4), Genpact (4), ONGC (3), Reliance (3), RPG Group (3), CK Birla Group (2), Piramal (2), Praxis Global Alliance (2), Arvind Internet (1) and JSW Group (1). Overall, 60 offers were made to hire the brightest minds to join their team with the roles of general management.
Numerous consumer good companies pitched in to hire IIM B students for the roles of sales and marketing. Overall, it made 55 offers with maximum number of offers by Anheuser-Busch InBev (10) followed by Asian Paints (5), FIITJEE – EdFora (5), Procter & Gamble (5), Bajaj Finserv (3), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (3), Emxcel (3), Tata Sky (3), Colgate Palmolive (2), ITC (2), Lenovo (2), Mondelez (2), Samsung (2), Wipro Consumer Care (2), Baryons (1), Falabella (1), Giesecke+Devrient (1), Jubilant FoodWorks (1), Marico (1) and Maruti Suzuki (1).
The finance sector attracted 42 offers in total. Goldman Sachs, Avendus Capital, and JP Morgan held the highest number of shares. Other firms like Aditya Birla Group, Tata Administrative Services, Adani Group also offered coveted roles to around 60 students.
Both these sectors together rolled out 55 offers in the final placements. The key IT recruiters who made 38 offers include Microsoft IDC, Tata Consulting Service, Razorpay and Sprinklr. On the other hand, students who opted for Operations saw 17 offers with Accenture Operations (5), Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (3), Cloudtail (2), Odessa (2), Gilbarco (1), Mahindra Comviva (1), Moonfrog (1), Société Générale (1) and Uber (1). Apart from this, Amazon offered 20 job roles in the e-commerce segment.
