Reliance T.U.P Wraps Its Seventh Season; Here Is Everything You Need To Know
One of the most favored B-School competitions by students, The Ultimate Pitch by Reliance recently drew the curtains to its seventh season. The competition featured commendable student ideas as well as valuable insights from the distinguished jury. Here is a complete rundown of Reliance T.U.P 7.0 journey.
Born as a strategic elevator pitch contest to celebrate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial zeal, The Ultimate Pitch has traversed through the mind space of the campus audience since its inception.
From starting with an idea, giving it form and shape, analyzing the numbers behind the finances, and finally bringing it to market - in a nutshell, T.U.P gives students a lot of space for creativity and makes the leaders of tomorrow realize the gravity of entrepreneurship. This year as well, Reliance T.U.P 7.0 invited full-time MBA/PGDM students from all B-Schools in India to delve over ideas that are:
- Futuristic,
- Solve a real-world need or problem, and
- Challenge conventional wisdom
- Practical and scalable
- Have a strong business sense
The four-stepped funnel to get the ultimate idea
In order to help the best innovative ideas reach the right audience - the experienced Reliance leadership, The Ultimate Pitch Season 7 was seamlessly spanned across 4 stages.
Stage 1: All the registered teams were required to upload their 3-minute pitch video.
Stage 2: The shortlisted teams based on best ideas and selection criteria were then given a chance to showcase their 3-minute video to the live jury.
Stage 3: The teams that were shortlisted on the basis of presentation and Q&A round, were then showcased their idea in a 3D virtual booth, interacting with the live audience from Reliance and campuses, and wowed the jury. The votes gathered during the Idea Fair determined the ‘Popular Choice Award’.
Stage 4: All the National Finalists went head-to-head to make the ultimate pitch to the grand jury.
The ultimate jury for the ultimate winners
Eminent personalities marked their presence on the Jury panel of Reliance T.U.P 7.0. B Srinivasan, Group President and Chief of Staff, Chairman’s Office; Nitin Seth, CEO - New Mobility, Reliance Industries Ltd., Ashwani Prashara, CHRO - Hydrocarbons, Reliance Industries Ltd., Damodar Mall, CEO Grocery Retail; and Prateek Pashine, President - Enterprise, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., graced the occasion with their presence.
Out of 15,285 registrations from across the country, only 7 teams made it to the national finals of The Ultimate Pitch Season 7. Team Four Fineapples from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore wore the winning crown, Team Eutopia from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) bagged the 1st runner-up title, and Team Panthers from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon walked away with the Popular Choice Award.
Their commendable ideas and amazing solutions made them shine bright and stand in front of the esteemed jury.
As a token of appreciation, the National Winners were awarded a cash prize of INR 6 Lakhs followed by INR 3 Lakhs and INR 1 Lakh to the Runner-up and the winner of the Popular Choice Award, respectively. Campus Round Winners & Runner-up received INR 50,000 and INR 25,0000 respectively along with exciting TUP merchandise!
Not to forget to mention, the Pre-placement interviews for all National Finalists and mentorship by in-house Reliance experts.
