Rishabh Pant received a Grade A salary plan (INR 5 crores) for the annual contract list for 2022. In December 2022,  Rishabh Pant met with a serious car accident. In this time of need, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) not only took care of his medical requirements but took responsibility for his commercial interests too.

BCCI paid his  INR 16 crore IPL salary from Delhi Capitals despite him missing out on IPL 2023. The Board also paid him his INR 5 crore central contract payments in full.
