Rishabh Pant received a Grade A salary plan (INR 5 crores) for the annual contract list for 2022. In December 2022,  Rishabh Pant met with a serious car accident. BCCI paid his  INR 16 crore IPL salary from Delhi Capitals despite him missing out on IPL 2023. The Board also paid him his INR 5 crore central contract payments in full.
