Naturally, being the host, India needed to put its best foot forward. The selection for the team was announced on September 8, and unfortunately, Sanju was not picked up for the 15-member Indian Squad despite having sound technique both behind the wicket and in front of it.
The decision came as a surprise to many and as a disappointment to many more of his fans and well-wishers. However, the Rajasthan Royals captain did not let it deter his plans and moved on to prepare for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with his Kerela team. But is this the end of it for Sanju and World Cup 2024?

Alas, the ball is in the BCCI's court while the nation of cricket lovers waits with baited breaths to see who will play the upcoming India-Pakistan match.
Sanju Samson: Personal Life & Early Career
Sanju Viswanath Samson was born to Samson Viswanath (a retired Police Constable) and Lijy Viswanath (a housewife) in a small coastal village in Kerela on 11 November 1994. - He also became the vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 Cricket team in June 2013 for the Top End Under-19 Series. Then came Sanju Samson's two half-centuries in India U-19's Youth Test series against Sri Lanka.
- Soon, he was made the VC for Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014. Sanju continued to show that he was not only a consistent player but a brilliant one at that.
