Pandemic wreaked havoc in almost every industry in the world, but the one which didn’t let the pandemic get to it has to be the Education Industry. Whether it be tech or business, almost all schools recorded an average high placement salaries during the covid times.
Stanford Graduate School of Business, keeping in lieu the above sentiment emerged as the top recruiter in terms of compensation, by recording an average starting salary of $162k (INR 1,23,52,338)! MBA graduates achieved a total average compensation of around $232k (INR 1,76,89,768) in 2021, taking into account base salary, performance bonuses, and sign-on bonuses.
JAMIE SCHEIN, Assistant Dean of Stanford said, “The Class of 2021 weathered the initial shock of the global pandemic as they pursued their summer internships in 2020, demonstrating grit and resilience. Those students then graduated into a robust job market where they found opportunities aligned with their values and where they could make an impact. Outcomes for the class are in line with previous years, and show a return to pre-pandemic offer timing with strong salaries.”

With the class composed of students from diverse backgrounds, Stanford Graduates pursue their careers in a variety of fields. And 96% of Stanford MBA students secured job offers within three months of graduation. This year, the Finance Industry emerged as the clear winner with 33% of MBA Graduates securing jobs in the said field.
29% of the class made their way into Tech Sector, while 18% of the class ventured into Consulting. Healthcare found 5%of the entire batch whereas 4 % landed jobs in Media and Entertainment.
"We're always the law of small numbers, where a few students changing course can make our numbers look like they vary, but it's pretty darn steady," Schein says.

Stanford MBA Graduates High Salary Prospects
When we talk about the highest paid Stanford MBA grads, the ones which received the best offers launched their careers in finance, achieving an average base salary of roughly $181k (INR 1,38,01,069) and the highest median salaries at $175K (INR 1,33,43,575).
Following closely behind, Stanford MBAs joining the consulting industry recorded impressive MBA salaries of around $166k (INR 1,26,57,334) and median salaries at $165k (INR 1,25,81,085).
The ones who joined the burgeoning tech industry earned average salaries of $148k (INR 1,12,84,852) and median salaries at $150k (INR 1,14,37,350).
