The journey of an MT at Hero MotoCorp -By Garima Agarwal from NMIMS Mumbai
Being from one of the most coveted B-Schools, you definitely dream of continuing the streak with your final placements. And when I got the chance to sit for the Hero MotoCorp process, I was all set for it. Who would want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the world’s largest 2 wheeler manufacturer, and the same were my feelings.
Being placement ready isn't rocket science. All I did was just be myself and be aware of the brand I was wishing to start my journey with. The selection process was quite simple but was holistic due to the different rounds.
On the D-day, after I was done giving my PI, I was anxiously waiting for the results. And the moment they were announced, I was on the top of the world. The feeling which could not be penned down. I was glad I would be starting my professional career with Hero MotoCorp.
The proud feeling to be a HEROite
When everything got uncertain in the world amidst COVID pandemic, I was also insecure about my joining but Hero MotoCorp stood by its promise of onboarding the MTs without a delay of a single day. That’s what gave me a sense of security and a feeling of proudness to be a HEROite. It’s been more than 5 months since I started on this journey. From a beautifully carved virtual induction program to joining at my work location with hope-filled eyes, it’s been a remarkable ride. Each day has been full of new opportunities.
The best part is that, instead of being directly assigned to my roles and responsibilities, I have been given a chance to be nurtured in the new environment, to get an in-depth knowledge of every nook and corner of the HR function. This stint has opened new avenues of learning for me. I am so glad to be a part of the Hero family, a company that believes in learning while making mistakes.
Glad to be a HEROite!!
