Why is BharatPe giving perks to new employees?
About the initiative, the Co-Founder and CEO of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, said that BharatPe is a tech-first fintech company. As it builds the next generation of banking in India, it wants to invite and excite the best tech talent to work with it for building the market-leading products at a scale. And hence, it will take the lead in tech talent compensation in India because that is the only real investment their business needs, given the capital efficiency of its model.
While the digital payments company is planning to scale up its Point of Sale (PoS) business by 3 times, it has set a target of USD 6 billion (about INR 44,719 crore) in annualized transaction processed value (TPV) by the end of the financial year 2021-22. Also, BharatPe being the third-largest player in the private PoS category, is also working to ramp up its reach by 5 times and, thus, sell 'BharatSwipe' in 80 cities across India by the end of this fiscal year.
