Vibha Harish, a 25-year old women entrepreneur from Bangalore is making headlines by getting featured in the coveted Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2021. Having created a promising venture named ‘Cosmix’ during difficult times of pandemic last year, Vibha has brought a revolution into women nutrition market.

Forbes released it’s 30 Under 30 Asia 2021 list of entrepreneurs, scientists, activists and young leaders who did not let their work go down under the new normal. Vibha is one of the few Indian who made it to the list.

At present, Vibha’s Cosmix is one of the fastest growing ventures in the country. Within one year of its operation, the company has clocked Rs. 2 crore revenue.

The Birth of Cosmix

The idea of Cosmix struck Vibha when she was diagnosed with PCOS. The absence of adequate nutrition for women made her launch her venture.

"My mother suggested that I go for herbal instead of any allopathic medicines. I started using herbs. Inspired by herbalism from the western world and Ayurveda from our own country, I started experimenting by myself," Harish told PTI

The company offers herbal based nutrition items and plant-based supplements in a wide range of product categories such as hair-care, skin-care, immunity, sleep, stress, energy etc. Facility of free shipping across India has led to an easy trial and adoption of the products by the consumers.

Breaking the glass ceiling

Vibha Harish is one of the trendsetters in the area of women entrepreneurship. In a country where it is difficult for women to participate in the workforce, creating one’s own venture is a far-fetched idea. The low participation of women in the workforce is clear evidence of this mentality. However, the trend has been changing rapidly, and today, women don’t hesitate in breaking the glass ceilings to achieve what they dream of.

Eye on the corporate social responsibility

A responsible corporate takes a wider view of business objectives which is generally summed up in 3Ps - People, Profit, and Planet. Cosmix is one such business that is committed to make the world a better place. The company runs a Nourishment programme with a mission to fight the issue of malnourishment in India. A part of the profit is being used to distribute Spirulina energy bars to children in a village called Kolala.
