With more than 15 years of legacy, TFT provides technology services to customers to achieve superior business outcomes. Here is an anecdote of my internship journey at Think Future Technologies.
My journey with the company started when I was selected as a Business Development and Strategy intern. The selection process of Think Future Technologies Pvt. Ltd. had two rounds:
- CV shortlisting
- Interview with panel
The majority of questions revolved around my CV, past experience, and strategy. Along with me, two other candidates were selected in the end. I am thankful to TFT that it did not revoke internship offer amid the Corona pandemic and their virtual internship gave me a unique experience. I got a chance to interact with everyone in the company and the everyday status calls built a sense of commitment towards my work.
Responsibilities that helped me upgrade
In the current pandemic situation, where healthcare is the saviour, I was to find relevant prospects, generate hot leads seeing the potential market and sell the solutions that the company has developed for the sector. The primary responsibilities of my internship at Think Future Technologies included:
- Conducting market research to better comprehend the prevailing customer behaviour
- Creation of email marketing campaigns to promote the services and ensure that the message is conveyed clearly is in proper form and includes ‘call-to-action’
- Developing a personalized strategy for countries of the target market
- Creating, tracking and analyzing the database for the lead generation and follow up on the interested respondents
- Reviewing the former campaigns and ascertain areas of strength and weakness, to get subsequent outputs
The task was challenging but constant support and guidance from my mentor made it my cup of tea.
How I coped up with taxing challenges
The following were the challenges I faced during my internship and the approach I had adopted to tackle the same:
- To increase engagement rates: Used segmentation and personalization to keep customers interested in relevant and targeted information.
- Increase customer acquisition: Tools for marketing automation were used to effectively market multiple online channels and turn leads to customers and to loyal evangelists.
- Email personalization: Prepared a large number of emails with catchy subject lines with content and analyzed the emails getting the highest responses.
- Improve the quality of data: Several recommendations by mentors were implemented and changes were constantly adopted to improve the quality.
Learning is a journey!
Though my tasks during my internship at Think Future Technologies revolved around Email marketing campaigns, I didn’t keep myself committed to that alone. In addition to the work given, I engaged myself in interaction with clients that I had converted, analyzing the potential markets for the solutions, and visualizing the data collected. In the end, I had presented my whole analysis to the Sales Head and got an appreciation for my dedication and hard work. Though it was a virtual platform, I believe that I made the most out of my internship.
In essence, my internship gave me the learning which I will cherish in my whole life:
“Don’t just deliver what is required,
Go beyond the scope of what you know today
