We're all trying out new things in life. We are strong advocates of finding our way through life, blazing the trail, and not putting a timeline on things. But for those who are just starting their career, there are certain things they should get started on sooner rather than putting them off until later. One of them is nabbing a virtual tech internship.
Here is why -
While a tech internship may seem like the answer to most of your early career woes, getting by one is not all that easy. Until now! Say hello to hiring hackathons that offer not only attractive prizes, and fame but also the coveted tech internship. Hiring hackathons are usually organized by companies that are on the lookout for mavericks and out-of-box thinkers. When you choose to register for one, be prepared to launch your career in ways that you never thought possible.
An internship will give you experience and skills - which can neither be discounted nor be laminated to put on a dusty shelf. The formula for success in any industry anywhere in the world combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Hiring hackathons, especially those that offer tech internships to their participants/winners are the stepping ladder to achieving this success formula.
Gaining hands-on experience through a tech internship after winning a global scale hackathon, can make you stand out from the rest of the applicants when it comes to looking for permanent employment. It helps to bring you up-to-speed on what the tech industry is really like. Think of such hackathons as a pitstop in the long journey of solving problems or a learning experience that will set you up for solving problems.
These hackathons are like a Swiss army knife! Not only do they add skills, but they pack in tons of career benefits.

Hacking into the world of coding and getting a full-time job or an internship can be a little intimidating. Putting in the effort to prepare your application materials when you know there are seemingly low chances of a real person reading your resume can be discouraging. Getting down on yourself and believing you'll never land your dream internship is an easy trap to fall into.
But here's the catch: Hiring hackathons allow you to skip the resume race.
Do you know that, as per online data, around 80% of fortune companies use hackathons to drive innovation and hire a workforce? Hackathons are regarded as one of the most trusted tools that assist companies in hiring interns and full-timers, not just by their limited skills on resumes.
Companies are using these high-octane, non-stop coding competitions to mine the most valuable talents on the market without gritting too hard.
So, the most potent way to secure a job in your dream company down the line is to put in the work right now: participating in hiring hackathons.
