The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a global finance institution under World Bank, is hiring 110 interns from India. IFC works to encourage private-sector investment in less developed countries and the interns will be recruited under its flagship 'Global Internship Program (GIP)' at the New Delhi office.
This is a Work From Home (WFH) opportunity and will last for at least four months. There will be extension opportunities for good performers.

Eligibility Criteria For International Finance Corporation Internship
- Candidates pursuing a Master's degree who will be graduating on or after December 1, 2022.
- For Research in Climate Finance, candidates must be from the following academic backgrounds: Economics, Climate, or Sustainable Finance.
- Candidates applying for the India Country Strategy must have MBA/BBA or a degree in either Finance Or Economics.
- Work experience in a related field for at least 3 years.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India or have an OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India).
International Finance Corporation Internship - Duties
1. Climate Finance Research
- Provide support to the Advisory team of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in conducting secondary market research.
- Build training modules (PPT presentation) for middle and frontline staff in Indian finance institutions to boost their knowledge about climate finance.
- Participate in discussions, brainstorm ideas with the team, and execute various climate/green initiatives in India.
2. India Climate Intern
- Interns in India will be part of cooperative efforts such as the Country Climate Development Report.
- They will also have to conceptualize one transformational project that could open up climate business opportunities in India.
- They will also be required to make a presentation of the project idea they have come up with India Country Strategy.
- Work alongside the team to identify transformational projects and show the results at the end of the internships.
3. India Country Strategy
- Work with conglomerates to support relationship-building activities and proposals for new projects and financial products.
