National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand (NITUK) is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technologies in the nation. Since its origin, this Institute has developed numerous fields and has built up itself as outstanding amongst other Technical Educational Institutes. NITUK was built up in 2009 under the Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. At present, the Institute has around 500 students, 86 postgraduates and 15 Ph.D. researchers. The Institute offers full-time B. Tech, M.Tech. Program in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
Undergraduate understudies are chosen through JEE. (Primary) and DASA and Post-graduate understudies are chosen through CCMT. The Institute additionally offers a Ph.D. program in different surges of Engineering, Science and Humanities. NITUK is additionally engaged with various R&D exercises subsidized through different government and private offices. The brief grounds of NITUK are arranged in the lovely valley of Srinagar (Garhwal) at Government Polytechnic. The Institute's structures in Government Polytechnic houses Department of Sciences and Humanities, Class Rooms, Library, Dispensary, Server Room, Auditorium, Playground and Hostels. NITUK has expanded the transitory grounds by creating three new structures and one cricket ground in the old ITI grounds. New research facilities in different Departments have been built with cutting edge offices.
Design Departments and regulatory workplaces have been moved to new grounds. The Institute has wide space for every Department with development spread over more than 14,000 sq. meter (1,50,000 sq. feet) of zone.
NITUK has made an exceptionally quick development in the ongoing past as far as beginning new scholastic projects, modification of scholarly educational program, advancement of labs and framework.
