In power generation, we specialize in the manufacture of air-cooled and liquid-cooled diesel engines and Gensets offering a wide range of power outputs. We manufacture a variety of agri-engines and diesel engine pump sets that have, and continue to, serve the irrigation needs for generations of farmers. We also have a strong presence in industrial engines where we power earth moving construction, mining, fluid handling, material handling equipment and marine applications.

We take numerous measures to ensure that each of our products is always up to the highest standards that our clients expect from us and we expect from ourselves.

Adherence to Quality Management Systems as per the latest International Standards is a step towards the same. All the plants of Kirloskar Oil Engines are certified to ISO/ TS 16949:2009 or ISO 9001: 2008 series of Standards by ABS Quality Evaluations, U.S.A.

Corporate Quality and Plant level Quality structures enable requisite planning, control and implementation of Company-wide Quality Policy and horizontal deployment of best practices in line with the defined Quality Concept.

Besides traditional Quality functions, additional emphasis is placed on

formulating, implementing and monitoring "Quality Improvement Programs" to prevent Critical Quality issues in a structured manner. Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt programs have been installed with the help of CII.

Enhanced Capabilities have been achieved through process control and excellent manufacturing infrastructure supported by requisite inspection & testing facilities.

Providing high performance-oriented range of engines and generating sets with requisite number of quality checks at every stage of value addition.

There are focused programs in place to reduce variability and enhance Quality levels of suppliers Assessment and consequent process improvements at Genset OEM plants.

As a result of this emphasis on quality and technology, Kirloskar Oil Engines enjoys national and international recognition in the form of Product Certification by international bodies like Factory Mutual (FM), Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

Our approach to achieving business excellence by continually raising our standards of quality has resulted in the adoption of the CII-EXIM Business Excellence Model. Through this model and annual assessment exercises, we are institutionalising continuous improvement in all our operations and through this constant incremental growth, we prepare for the vast potential that the future holds.
