- Established in 1986 as Regional Engineering College (REC), National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NITH) is one of the 30 NITs of the country.
- The institute provides UG, PG and Doctorate Education in engineering, sciences, and humanities; fostering an amazing spirit of national integration among the students, close interaction with the industry and a good emphasis on research, both basic and applied.
