Let's see, what MANTHAN 2026 is all about?

Manthan – General Rules & Guidelines:

  • Manthan is an annual inter-college Techno-Management and Cultural fest of the National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune.
  • UG and PG students across India are invited to participate in various events and competitions being organised during the fest.
  • Participating students must fully go through the following general rules and guidelines, as well as the event-specific rules, before registering.

General Rules:

  • Cross-college teams are allowed.
  • Event registration must be done through the Unstop platform as per the specified schedule.
  • Only the students who register on Unstop are allowed to participate. In case of an emergency or if a registered participant is unavailable, the event organizers will make the final decision regarding substitution.
  • The email address and phone number provided during registration will be the primary means of communication for the organisers throughout the event.
  • Students may participate in multiple events; however, they must manage their schedules, as multiple events will be conducted simultaneously.
  • While the events will proceed according to the schedule on Unstop, the organisers retain the right to modify the event schedule if necessary. Please check the Unstop platform for real-time updates.
  • Some events have a preliminary online shortlisting cum elimination round, in addition to the final round. The last date for sending entries for the online preliminary rounds is mentioned alongside the respective event details.
  • The Final round will take place at the NIA campus in Pune.
  • Shortlisted teams and participants will receive invitations for the main event via Unstop and their registered email addresses following the announcement of the results.
  • Participants must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. The organisers will not provide any allowances in this regard.
  • Participants must report 1 hour before the event starts and present their college ID card at the registration desk.
  • Participants without a college ID card will not be allowed to participate in the event.
  • A minimum of 5 entries is necessary for any event to be conducted. If an event has fewer than 5 entries, it will be cancelled. Participants will be informed in advance in such a case.
  • Prize money above Rs. 10,000 will attract TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) as per the GOI rules and guidelines.
  • All participants of the preliminary rounds will be awarded participation certificates (E-certificates).
  • Participants must return all NIA’s property used before leaving the campus.
  • Misuse or damage to NIA’s property will lead to disqualification, and participants will bear the charges for such damage.
  • Participants are requested to take care of their belongings. The organisers shall not be responsible in case of any loss.
  • Participants must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. The organisers will not provide travel or accommodation allowances.
  • While declaring winners, the decisions of judges will be final and binding on all.
  • The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to the stated contest rules.

Prohibited Actions Leading to Disqualification:

  • Any misconduct by the participant.
  • Use of abusive or obscene language, inappropriate content, blasphemy, or content defaming any political party or religious group.
  • Use of any inflammable or hazardous elements, smoking, consuming alcohol, and using any unfair means.
