Every year, with its ever-increasing football, IIITDM hosts the most thrilling celebratory days for its fellow students and people in Chennai! Samantha had its humble beginnings as an intra-college celebratory in 2011. Today, it has evolved into a full-fledged inter-college festival of IIITDM 
Kancheepuram throughout the years.

The fest gets spectacular with the various events in line with the Pro-shows conducted by prominent personalities like Surreal, Pineapple Express, Swastik, Nicketronix, Priya Darshini, Naveen Richards, Lohar The Blacksmith, and many others in the previous years.

Samgatha has witnessed a footfall of 1500 in its previous edition and welcomes students from various colleges such as IIT Madras, NIT Trichy, VIT, Sastra, Loyola, MCC, WCC, and many others. The stage is set for the people to display their talents in various events such as Battle of Bands, Dance Wars, Lawyer Up, etc. with exciting cash prizes awaiting them. The social themes ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao!’, ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Make In India’ appeal to the inner social consciousness and seek social welfare for the total benefit of 
society.
