Round-1 - Idea Submission
Teams are required to submit their idea in .pdf format illustrating the technique with proper diagrams, wherever applicable. On the basis of submitted ideas, the list of shortlisted teams will be declared whose final presentation will be scheduled on 13th and 14th February 2021.

‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali’ is a Mega Forestation and Environment Conservation Programme launched in order to protect water resources and plants. It is aimed at protecting the environment and minimizing the bad effects of climate change on the lives of people. The co-existence of droughts and floods possess a potent threat that cannot be eradicated but has to be managed. The plunging Ground Water Table makes the situation grave in dry areas. Water shortages are sometimes inevitable.
Rain Water Harvesting is the technique utilized to harvest rainwater to be stored for later use. As a part of this event, Participating Teams are required to come up with an innovative idea of low-cost rainwater harvesting techniques. These techniques can be applied for rural/urban areas and should be cost-efficient and effective.
Instructions:
- Participating teams can have 2-3 members of the same college.
- Teams are required to submit their idea in .pdf format illustrating the technique with proper diagrams, wherever applicable.
- On the basis of submitted ideas, the list of shortlisted teams will be declared whose final presentation will be scheduled on 13th and 14th February 2021.
- The evaluation will be done on the basis of novelty of idea, complexity, clarity, details in prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability of the solution, scale of impact and scope for future implementation.
- If feasible, teams can also illustrate the working of their technique through a mini-scale model. Video illustrating the working of the model can be uploaded on Google Drive and links can be shared while idea submission.
Prizes:
- Prizes worth ₹15,000/- will be given to the winners.
- Certificate of Participation will be issued to all the participants.
Important Dates:
- 10th February 2021 - Deadline for Idea Submission
- 12th February 2021 - Notification to Shortlisted Teams for Final Presentation
- 13th - 14th February 2021 - Presentation Round
Registration Charges: ₹250/- per Team
Note:
- Only the Team Leader needs to register. Details of team members should be filled by the Team Leader during registration.
- Guidelines and format for idea submission will be sent via email to all the team leaders after successful registration.
- Please note that the Google Drive link for video illustration is an optional criterion. You may upload if you can make a working model of the same.
- Decision of the Organizing Committee will be final and binding to all.
