What is Adhyayan?

• It is a Case study competition organized by the Nirmaan club, SnTC, IIT Mandi where contestants compete to create the best solution for the given topics within the rules and guidelines.

Topics:

• Floods in Himachal: A Disaster Management Case Study
• Air Force Warehouse failure in Ohio and Georgia: A shear failure case study

Team Size:

• 1-3 Members (Participants have to opt for any one topic out of the given two for the case study).
• Abstract Submission Deadline: 13th April 2024 EOD
• Final Submission Deadline: 15th April, 2024 (Before 1pm)
• Final Presentation Date: 15th April, 2024 (Online) (from 2pm)
• The Presentation should be limited to 10-15 mins

Guidelines:

• All submissions should be in PDF format only.
• Points will be awarded based on the case study report submitted on or before the submission deadline.
• The case study report should highlight the civil engineering aspects of the given topics.
• The quality of the work will be checked based on plagiarism, content, formatting, references, etc.
• Recommended font and sizes: Times New Roman - 12pt for subject body | Spacing - 1.5.
• You can add images/videos from google with references, points will be given for the same.
• Decisions made for awarding points will be at the discretion of the judging panel and will be final.
• Judging will be done on the basis of the civil engineering aspects of the given topics and how the presentation is done of these civil engineering aspects.

Judging Panel:

• Judging will be done by professors of IIT Mandi or a Chief guest invited by IIT MANDI.
