Aditya Birla Group Stratos 2019

Stratos, Aditya Birla Group’s flagship business simulation competition is here to stimulate your thought process. It will bring the best of you by making you think on your feet and navigate real-life scenarios. The competition will provide you a flavor of ideation as well as execution.

Open to an elite list of 15 B-Schools, winners will get PPIs with the Aditya Birla Group among other prizes.

General Guidelines:

• A team must consist of 3 members
• All members of a team should be from the same institute
• Only 1st-year full-time 2-year MBA students can participate in this competition from the select list of B-Schools
• Team can be cross specializations
• A student cannot be a part of more than one team
• There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute
• Students who are on Exchange programs are welcome to register. However, at least 2 members of their team should not be going on exchange
• Only the team leader, the person who registered the team, will be able to play the online rounds. Other team members would not be allowed to play
• Aditya Birla Group has final authority on all decisions

Competition Structure:
 
First Preliminary Round - 4 days of non-stop Online Simulation Game!

• Timeline: 26th July, 8 PM until 29th July, 8 PM
• 6 different rounds with a window of 11 hours and 30 minutes each
• Actual decision making takes not more than an hour for each round
• An online simulation game that will grill you on your knowledge and mindsets
• All registered teams will participate in this round
• Selected teams will move on to the next round based on their performance

Second Preliminary Round - Campus Rounds!

• Selected teams per campus from the preliminary round fight it out at this stage for Campus Winner and Runners-up title
• Case study will be released on 30th July, 8 PM for this round
• Each team will need to submit a one-slider presentation in a pre-defined format. You will receive this format along with the case.
• You can submit it in any format (.pdf, .ppt, etc.) and any screen/slide size (16:9 or 4:3)
• Teams will have to submit/upload their case presentation by 4th August, 11:59 PM. Once uploaded, you can change the submission anytime before the deadline
• Campus Winners and Runners-up will be declared post this round on 12th August based on the quality of submissions and the number of shortlisted teams per campus in this round

Third Preliminary Round - Deep Dive!

• All Campus Winners and/or Runners-up need to submit a detailed 7-slider presentation on the case for further evaluation
• First slide should contain team details; other slides are for analysis or deliverables to the problems. Any supporting Excel sheets, etc. are supposed to be sent separately in a folder. Any references should be given due credits. Zip the files together as a submission. Naming Convention: InstituteName_TeamName_Stratos19
• You can submit it in any format (.pdf, .ppt, etc.) and any screen/slide size (16:9 or 4:3)
• Teams will have to submit/upload their case presentation by 18th August, 11:59 PM
• Best 10 teams will be declared post this round on 21st August as National Finalists

Finale

• All 10 National Finalists will participate in the Grand Finale
• Details of the grand finale will be shared with the teams closer to the Finale
• Grand Finale will happen in Mumbai on 6th September

Detailed instructions will be shared with the respective teams before the start of preliminary as well as final rounds.

Important instructions for first preliminary round - Must Read!

• There are 6 rounds in the game. Each round will be open for 11 hours and 30 minutes
• You can submit/change your decisions anytime during the round window
• Details of all 6 rounds are mentioned in the manual that can be accessed from the above link
• There will be a gap of 30 minutes between rounds
• Please note that to aid your decision-making a separate section Analysis will be provided only for the first two rounds
• Ensure that your decisions are saved. If they are not getting saved, then you'll get a message stating why not. This could be due to numerous reasons like emergency loans etc.
• You won't be able to take decisions related to M&A in this game.
• You'll be playing in buckets of 7 to 9 teams in your competitive scenario. Top team from each bucket will be considered for the next stage. Top team should have played all the rounds in this stage to be eligible for next stage. 
• Number of teams per campus that move forward to the next stage is dependent on the number of teams that have registered from that campus.
• Final selection for the next stage will be based on your performance in your competitive scenario (Bucket) and your responses to some questions while playing the game.

Who can play?

• Only the team leader, person who registered the team, will be able to play the game. Other team members would not be allowed to play
• Team leader will be able to play it through the email id that was used to register the team. Example: If a person used his/her official id i.e. p1342@d2c.com to register his/her team, then s/he need to login using the same email id to play it and not from any other email id
• Simultaneous logins are not permitted. You will only be allowed to play the game from one laptop/desktop at any point in time

You can't see play button?

• This means that either you haven't registered for the game OR you are not the team leader for your team OR if you are a team leader, then you are using some other email id to play the game and not the one through which you registered OR you are not eligible for this game as it is open for only selected colleges
• If you have registered, you would have got an email confirmation for the same from Dare2Compete.com with details of the game and the team leader

What is my tournament passcode and where will I find it?

• Once you click play, you'll be required to enter a passcode to get into the tournament. You'll find the passcode on the same page at the top. Example: 20148899001122abcd20
• If you can't see any passcode, this means that either you are not registered OR you are not eligible to participate in this game as this game is open only for selected colleges.
