Aditya Birla Group Stratos 2022

Stratos, Aditya Birla Group’s flagship business simulation competition is here to stimulate your thought process. It will bring out the best of you by making you think on your feet and navigate real-life scenarios. The competition will provide you with a flavour of ideation as well as execution.

Open to an elite list of 15 B-Schools, winners will get PPIs from Aditya Birla Group among other prizes.

General Guidelines:

• A team must consist of 3 members
• All members of a team should be from the same institute
• Only 1st-year students from a full-time 2-year MBA program can participate in this competition from the select list of B-Schools
• For the Indian School of Business (ISB), all 1-year PGP students are eligible
• Teams can be formed across specializations
• A student cannot be a part of more than one team
• There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute
• Students who are on exchange programs are welcome to register; However, 2 members of their team should not be going on exchange
• Only the team leader, the person who registers the team, will be able to play the online simulation round; Other team members would not be allowed to play
• Aditya Birla Group has final authority on all decisions

Competition Structure:

Business Simulation Round

• Timeline: 5th August 2022, 10:15 AM IST to 6:00 PM IST
• The candidates will have to cross different levels to solve real-life problems and showcase their business acumen
• All registered teams will participate in this round
• Only the team leader will be allowed to play this round
• The total duration of the simulation is 2 hours; candidates can attempt this round anytime in the given window of 7 hours and 45 minutes
• Selected teams will move on to the next round based on their performance

Case Submission Phase I: Executive Summary Submission Round

• Shortlisted teams from the Online Simulation Round will work on the case study problem statement
• The teams participating shall have 2 or more case studies provided to them and they have the option to choose a single case study of their choice
• The case study will be released on 9th August 2022
• Each team will need to submit a two-slider presentation as per the submission template in PDF format
• Registered candidates will get the submission template along with the case
• Naming Convention: InstituteName_TeamName_Stratos22
• Teams will have to submit/upload their submissions by 21st August 2022, 11:59 PM IST
• Once uploaded, teams can change the submission anytime before the deadline

Case Submission Phase II: Deep Dive!

• The Deep Dive Round starts on 30th August 2022
• The shortlisted teams from the previous round will have to submit a detailed 7-slider presentation and a video (1-2 minutes) for their proposed solution
• The first slide should contain team details, while the other slides are for analysis of deliverables to the problem statement
• Any supporting Excel sheets, etc. are supposed to be submitted separately in a folder
• Any references should be given due credits
• The submissions are to be made in a ZIP file only 
• The submission is to be done in PDF format for the presentation and MP4 format for the video
• Naming Convention: InstituteName_TeamName_Stratos22
• Teams will have to submit/upload their submissions by 4th September 2022, 11:59 PM IST
• Once uploaded, teams can change the submission anytime before the deadline

National Finale:

• The top 10 teams from the previous round will be shortlisted for the National Finale
• Details of the finale will be shared with the shortlisted teams closer to D-Day!

Rewards and Prizes:

• Winners: Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Internships for all colleges except ISB; ISB students will get PPIs for Final Placement; Cash Prize of INR 5,00,000 will also be given along with iPads and certificates
• First Runners-Up: Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Internships for all colleges except ISB; ISB students will get PPIs for Final Placement; Cash Prize of INR 3,00,000 will also be given along with iPads and certificates
• Second Runners-Up: Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Internships for all colleges except ISB; ISB students will get PPIs for Final Placement; Cash Prize of INR 1,00,000 will also be given along with iPads and certificates
• National Finalists: All National Finalists will receive exciting goodies and certificates from Aditya Birla Group
• Participation Certificate: Participation Certificates to all the participants who register and attempt the first preliminary round
