Amazon Customer Excellence (ACE) Challenge 2025: Stages and Timelines

Preliminary Round

Each team member must complete a 28-minute quiz individually, which is mandatory. The average score of all team members will determine the final team score. The top teams will advance to the campus round.

In addition to the top teams, ACE will acknowledge top individual performers and allow them to team up with other standout individuals from their campus as wildcard entries in the case competition. The list of wildcard individual entries (four per campus) will be published on the same day as the selected teams.

Campus Round: Case Submission

The shortlisted teams will submit their solution for the phase-one case study in word document format of 4 pages: (2-page solution document + 2-page appendix).

Campus Round: Presentations

The top teams shortlisted across campuses will present their solution document to the judging panel, consisting of Senior Amazon Leaders and Alumni.

Grand Finale: Case Submission

The national finalists will submit their solution for the phase-two case study in the given word document format for the Grand Finale presentation.

Grand Finale

The national finalist teams will compete for the championship title and present their solutions to a panel of senior leaders from Amazon in Bangalore.

Amazon is back with the 15th edition of Amazon Customer Excellence (ACE) Challenge 2025. This is your chance to Innovate, Strategize and Build impactful solutions for the organization that strives to be Earth's most customer-centric company.

Note:

  • The students who have already registered for the Live Launch Event, need to register in teams on Unstop to participate in the ACE Challenge 2025.
  • All the team members have to verify and confirm their details otherwise the team registration will be considered invalid.
  • Students are requested to register for the challenge using their official college email IDs.
  • First-year students who have not received their official college IDs can register using Gmail IDs (validated by their Placement Committee).

Team Formation Guidelines:

  • Students must register in teams of four.
  • Amazon believes that diverse teams are more successful at delivering solutions for diverse customers.
  • The participants can be from any specialization. Cross-specialization teams can participate.
  • Only students from the same campus can form a team.
  • One participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
  • There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute.
  • The top performing individuals will form a team amongst four members selected from each campus.
  • Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.

Competition Structure:

Registration:

  • Interested students from a select list of campuses will have to register in teams of 4.
  • Participants will be allowed to register only through their official email IDs.

How to ace the "ACE" Session:

  • Join us for the session on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
  • Hear from previous year's ACE winners and finalists: Their ACE journey, what to expect from ACE, tips and tricks to ace the competition.

Preliminary Round:

  • It is mandatory for all registered students to take the online quiz.
  • The online quiz window will be open for 6 hours.
  • Every participant will get a set of questions to be answered within 28 minutes.
  • All team members will attempt the quiz individually.
  • Every team will be ranked on accuracy (score) and speed (best time) i.e. if two teams have the same score, then the team that finished faster will be ranked higher.
  • Shortlisting will be done based on team scores i.e. average scores of all individual team members (Total score/4).
  • The top teams will be shortlisted for the campus round.
  • In addition to the top teams, ACE will acknowledge top individual performers and allow them to team up with other standout individuals from their campus as wildcard entries in the case competition. The list of wildcard individual entries (four per campus) will be published on the same day as the selected teams.

Writing at Amazon Session:

  • The session will commence on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
  • Top teams from the preliminary round will get a chance to attend the Writing at Amazon session wherein they will learn how to submit a word document of the solution, the Amazon way. During the session, students will get an opportunity to ask questions directly to the case writers.

Campus Round:

  • The shortlisted teams from the preliminary round will move to the second round, i.e. the campus round.
  • Teams will submit their solution for the phase-one case study in the requested format.
  • Window to make your submission begins: Wednesday, August 6, 2025, 05:00 PM IST
  • Window to make your submission ends: Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 08:00 AM IST
  • Team leaders will be able to submit their entries and download the case files and submission format from the competition page itself.
  • Team leaders will be able to see the submit button for this round during the submission window.
  • The team leaders will be able to make submissions until the deadline for this round and anytime during the challenge window.
  • The maximum file size that can be uploaded as a submission is 15 MB.
  • Team leaders can change their submissions by clicking on Submission and then Change Submission, anytime before the submission deadline.
  • No extensions will be provided for submissions.
  • Teams will then present their solutions to the judging panel, consisting of senior leaders and alumni.
  • The top teams (winning teams from Campus Round) will be invited to the Grand Finale to compete for the ACE 2025 title.

Grand Finale Round:

  • The shortlisted teams from the campus round will submit their solution for the phase-two case study.
  • The national finalists will be working on the second phase of the case.
  • The national finalists will compete in the Grand Finale in Bangalore and present their solutions to a jury of senior Amazon leaders. 
  • Each team will have 30-35 minutes for their presentation. 
  • The panel will declare the Winner, First Runner-Up, and Second Runner-Up teams which will win cash prizes, pre-placement interviews (PPIs), and Amazon products/devices.

Rewards:

  • Winners will receive cash awards worth INR 2,00,000, Amazon Alexa products/devices and an opportunity to experience ‘A day at Amazon'.
  • The First Runners-up will receive cash awards worth INR 1,50,000 and Amazon Alexa products/devices.
  • The Second Runners-up will receive cash awards worth INR 50,000 and Amazon Alexa products/devices.
  • Finalists will receive Amazon Gift Cards.
  • Select Candidates will receive Pre-Placement Interviews.
