Executive Summary Submission
Registered teams have to submit a 2-slider executive summary of the CANVAS 2025 case in .pdf format. Any supporting Excel sheet(s), etc. should be embedded in the PPT itself.
Campus Rounds
The top 5 teams per campus (results to be declared on a rolling basis) will present a detailed approach of the case at hand to the Asian Paints jury. The Campus Round calendar will be shared with the shortlisted teams well in advance.
Mentorship Phase
The shortlisted teams will work with their respective mentors to prepare their innovative submissions for the Grand Finale.
Grand Finale
The National Finalists (14 campus winners) will get a chance to present to the senior leadership team headed by the MD & CEO of the company as well as heads of all functions in Mumbai.

Asian Paints CANVAS gives you a myriad of opportunities - working on a live business case, crafting a marketing masterpiece, interacting with senior and seasoned leaders, Pre-Placement Interviews along with winning attractive cash prizes. Are you ready to stroke your way through endless possibilities?
Eligibility and Team Rules:
- This competition is open to 2nd-year students pursuing flagship full-time MBA programmes from select B-Schools.
- Students must register in teams of 3.
- Cross-specialization teams can participate.
- Participants should be full-time students from eligible campuses only.
- To ensure a level playing field for all participants, students who have interned with Asian Paints are not eligible to participate in CANVAS 2025.
- A student cannot be a member of more than one team.
- At max 2 students from a team can be outgoing student-exchange students.
- Any deviation from the aforementioned rules will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Structure:
Executive Summary Submission:
- Each team will have to submit an executive summary of the case in a 2-slider presentation in PDF format.
- The first slide should contain the team name and name of the members, and the remaining slides (up to 2) are for analysis and/or deliverables to the problem at hand. Any supporting Excel sheets etc. should be embedded in the PPT itself.
- An appendix of not more than a page can be put beyond the 2-3 slides. Due credits should be given to any references taken.
- Naming Convention: TeamName_CampusName_APC25
- Students are requested to tune into the Live Case Study Brief Session on Monday, 11th August 2025, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM to help fine-tune their summaries with guidance from the Asian Paints team.
Campus Rounds:
- Based on the case submissions, 5 teams per college will be shortlisted as Campus Finalists.
- The results will be declared on a rolling basis.
- These teams will make a detailed presentation of the case at hand in front of the esteemed jury.
- Each team will get 15 minutes to present, which will be followed up with 5 minutes of Q&A.
- Campus Winners and Campus Runners-Up will be announced on the same day.
- Campus Winners stand a chance to win Pre-Placement Interviews from Asian Paints.
Mentorship Phase:
- Each of the shortlisted teams will be assigned a mentor from Asian Paints.
- The shortlisted teams will work with their respective mentors to prepare their innovative submissions for the Grand Finale.
Grand Finale:
- The National Finalists (14 campus winners) will get a chance to present to the senior leadership team headed by the MD & CEO of the company as well as heads of all functions.
- Further details of the national level round will be disclosed after all the campus rounds are complete.
- The National Finale will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Mumbai.

- All proposed solutions must have practical, true-to-life, and authentic assumptions. Widen your horizon beyond Google.
- We want to see a deep understanding of trade-offs in business - cost vs efficiency, involvement vs margins, etc.

Mergers and Acquisitions:
- In 2022, Asian Paints acquired controlling stakes in Weatherseal Fenestration, engaged in the business of interior decoration/furnishing, including manufacturing uPVC Windows and door systems.
- Along with Weatherseal, Asian Paints also bought 100% stake in Obgenix Software Private Limited: (popularly known by the brand name of White Teak) Obgenix Software Private is a private limited company engaged in the business to design, trade or otherwise deal in all types and description of decorative lighting products and fans, etc. Both acquisitions will be made in a staggered manner over the next three years.
- In 2014, Asian Paints (International) acquires 51% stake in Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC of Ethiopia: Asian Paints (International) has signed an agreement with the shareholders of Kadisco acquiring 51% stake of the equity share capital of Kadisco. Kadisco manufactures and sells paints, other coatings, and adhesives in Ethiopia.
- In 2014, Asian Paints buys front-end sales business of Ess Ess Bathroom Products: Asian Paints said the acquisition is subject to satisfaction of certain conditions precedents and applicable statutory approvals. Ess Ess is a prominent player in the bath and wash business segment in India and has high-quality products in this segment.
- In 2016, Asian Paints enter distribution tie-up with Henkel Adhesive Technologies: Asian Paints has entered the retail segment of the adhesives category through a distribution arrangement with Germany’s Henkel Adhesive Technologies. Under the arrangement, Henkel’s adhesive brand Loctite will be sold at the retail level through a co-branding initiative. Although the company had B2B presence in the adhesive segment in India, this is the first time it is entering retail.
- In 2017, Asian Paints acquires Sri Lankan firm Causeway Paints: Asian Paints through its Singapore-based indirect subsidiary Berger International Pvt Ltd (BIPL), acquired Causeway Paints Lanka Pvt Ltd, the Sri Lankan paints manufacturing company.
Corporate Social Responsibility:
Asian Paints is inclusive of their communities through a range of social interventions, enhancing skills and building social infrastructure to improve their community's quality of life.
While Asian Paints CSR approach focuses on the betterment of communities around their plants, they have also developed creative programs that help in improving their capabilities as a paint manufacturer and home improvement service provider to better the livelihood of poor communities through vocational training and skills development.
Asian Paints CSR focuses on the following 4 areas-
- Education- Asian Paints acknowledges the value of learning as a persuasive means to subdue poverty and social imbalance and therefore, this is a major impact field in their expanding CSR exercise. They are committed to promoting access to quality education, particularly for disadvantaged communities that are located around our facilities. Asian Paints intervention includes adoption and infrastructure development of schools, up-gradation of school buildings, providing chairs, benches, and other classroom aids, etc.
- Skills Development - Vocational Training- following the national developmental aims on skills improvement, Asian Paints is focused on rendering vocational training to develop skills in the unorganized sector. Asian Paints tries to provide vocational and skill-based training to painters, applicators, carpenters and workers, to enhance their employability and improve their livelihoods.
- Healthcare and Hygiene- Keeping in mind the importance of healthcare and hygiene, Asian Paints have taken up various interventions like primary healthcare support, free medical camps for rural communities, setting up rehabilitation centers, etc.
- Water Management- Asian Paints believes that it is its responsibility to judiciously use and help conserve water resources. Their work includes giving support to each and every stage of water conservation, water preservation, water recharge, and wastewater treatment. They have implemented various water conservation projects, wastewater treatment, and reusing process water. Key interventions include awareness of water conservation in schools and nearby villages, installation of rooftop rainwater harvesting and recharge systems in village communities and schools, promoting integrated watershed development in areas around manufacturing locations, and water recharge through desilting of lakes.
