Atharva - The Article Writing Competition

Greetings from FINATIX – Finance Club of IIM Raipur!

We invite the articles from intellect individuals for the next edition of Annual Magazine – Atharva.

Businesses face many varied and complex risks when venturing into emerging and frontier markets. Whether these risks arise from issues such as government intervention, contract frustration, political violence or credit default the country and general public all suffers along with those businesses involved. To predict and nullify the effect of these financial risks government and private organization takes steps from their sides, but what impact they have on the global level is also important. 

Theme for Atharva – The Annual Finance Magazine 2018 –

“Global Financial risks”

Some of the global financial risks are –

1. Volatile crude oil prices 
2. Risks associated with changing currency forms and its effect on financial institutions
3. Risk of US fed rate hikes on Indian macroeconomic 
4. Risk of China competitive currency devaluation
5. Rise of protectionism in Western Economies (Trade wars, Impact on Indian IT/ITES sector)
6. Turbulence in Global currency
7. Global reflation - curbing deflation

Notes:

(1) The fore mentioned topics are not exhaustive. The participants can feel free to redefine the topics and can write on a different topic from the ones mentioned above as long as it stays relevant to the theme.

(2) We appreciate articles in which the authors present their own analysis and views on the topic.

(3) Inclusion of info-graphics (charts, graphs etc) to support analysis is suggested.

(4) Please mention source if data used directly from any website or any other source of information.

General guidelines and naming conventions:
1. Mention your Name, institute/organization, contact number in the article.
2. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Headings – 14, Text - 12, Word Limit (1000 – 1200)
3. Only articles sent in .doc/ .docx form on the link given below will be accepted. Do Not send PDF files
4. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
5. Entries should have the following naming convention: Atharva_PersonName_InstituteName
6. Only one article per individual will be accepted.
7. Decision of Finatix will be final and binding.
8. The participant should be part-time/full-time MBA student.
9. References must be provided at the end of the article.
