Regional Top 5 Presentations
The top 20 contenders will present their solutions to our panel via Google Meet. It's their chance to shine and impress with their innovative ideas in consumer tech.
Submit your 1min Pitch
As you receive insights and feedback from the jury, submit a 1-minute video pitch of the product you have worked upon. E.g. If your product is Flipkart, tailor your pitch specifically for Flipkart. Consider this an elevator pitch to Flipkart.
The National Finale
The top 5 finalists be prepared to present your fine-tuned solution and some general questions coming right from our panel. Bring up your mockup idea/ prototype, make sure to incorporate the feedback you have received in the previous round from the jury.

Get ready for an exciting new Brainathon! We've had two amazing events centered around Brand & UI/UX design, and now we're moving things up with a focus on product innovation. This challenge is all about breaking barriers, sparking fresh ideas, and creating something truly game-changing. Join us for an adventure where innovation has no boundaries!
This Innovation Challenge is here to shake things up in consumer tech (Investment Apps, Daily Transaction Apps, Food Delivery Apps, OTT Platforms, Messaging Apps, etc). We want you to think about the everyday gadgets and apps you use – where do they fall short? What's missing? Then, come up with your own clever fixes. Whether it's your favorite app or a device you can't live without, we're looking for fresh ideas that'll make these tech tools/apps even better. Maybe it's a fitness tracker that needs to be more accurate during indoor workouts or a messaging app that could use some extra security features. Whatever it is, we're all ears!
Eligibility: Open to all students.
Competition Structure
Round 1 – Submit a problem you believe can be solved:
- Once an individual/team has registered they will have to choose a problem statement that piques their interest within the consumer tech domain.
- When choosing a problem statement, prioritize its impact in today's technology-driven world.
- Remember, the chosen problem statement will serve as the foundation for developing solutions in subsequent rounds.
Round 2 – Submit your solution:
- Individuals/teams will have to submit solutions for the problem statement selected in the previous round.
- Include details on the use of AI tools, if any, while working on the problem statement in your submission.
- While you submit your solution make sure that the presentation shouldn’t exceed more than 15 slides and that it is in PPT/pdf format.
- You can earn brownie points by submitting a prototype of the proposed solution.
Round 3 – Regional Top 5 Presentations:
- Top 20 teams will be selected, Top 5 from each region will be shortlisted to present their solution via a Google Meet call to our panel. Use the opportunity to showcase the innovative aspects of your solution.
- As you will be at the center of the stage, be ready for some fiery questions. Please do take notes as this will help you improve your project for the next round.
- The duration of the call will be 30 minutes, divided into a 10-minute presentation and a 20-minute Q&A session.
- All team members are required to be present on the call.
Round 4 – Submit your 1min pitch
- Top 20 teams are required to submit a 1min video pitch.
- As you receive insights and feedback from the jury, submit a 1-minute video pitch of the product you have worked upon. E.g. If your product is Flipkart, tailor your pitch specifically for Flipkart. Consider this an elevator pitch to Flipkart.
Round 5 – The National Finale:
- Individuals/teams will present the fine-tuned solution developed since the last round. Also, be prepared to address general questions beyond the specific problem statement as you connect with the panel over a Google Meet call.
- As four regional winners make their way to the finale, one remaining team will get a wild card entry to join them.
- The duration of the call will be 30 minutes, divided into a 10-minute presentation and a 20-minute Q&A session.
- All team members are required to be present on the call.
Cash Prize worth Rs 3.5 Lakh:
- National Winner – 1,50,000
- Regional Winner (North) – 50,000
- Regional Winner (South) – 50,000
- Regional Winner (East) – 50,000
- Regional Winner (West) – 50,000
Please note that the cash prize awarded to the winners will be credited after the deduction of applicable TDS.
Rules & Guidelines:
- The Top 20 & Top 5 individuals/teams selected will be declared on the Unstop platform and emails will be sent to the qualified individuals/teams.
- Winners will be declared on 4th July 2024 on an online meet and Unstop platform.
- Please submit your solutions in a PPT/PDF format. Concise and impactful presentations are encouraged.
- The presentation shouldn’t exceed more than 15 slides.
- Team members from different colleges are allowed. The region selected by the team will be considered when announcing the regional winner.
- The last day for solution submission is 2nd June 2024, 11:00 PM IST.
- The last day for 1min pitch submission is 17th June 2024, 11:00 PM IST.
- Feel free to review and modify your submissions anytime before the deadline. We want to ensure you have the opportunity to fine-tune your ideas for maximum impact.
