CaseNova: A Flagship Case Study Competition

Aren't Case Studies the best way to learn anything?

Case studies are one of the best teaching tools for enhancing and testing the practical knowledge of students. A case study asks for a detailed analysis of a market situation or an organization or a similar group, and students are required to use their problem-solving skills to rectify the complications mentioned in it.

The Entrepreneurship Cell of RV Institute of Technology and Management is organizing CaseNova, a flagship live case study competition.

Timeline:

• 2^nd January 2022 (Sunday): Event announcement & registration opens
• 7^th January 2022 (Friday): Registration closes by 7:00 PM (Last date of registration)
• 8^th January 2022 (Saturday): The case study will be floated along with the required PPT Format and other details. Registered teams will receive all the details on their registered email-id.
• 13^th January 2022 (Thursday): Each team is expected to submit the final presentation by 5:00 PM IST (A Google Form will be shared for the same)
• 15th January 2022 (Saturday): Selected Presentations will have to present their case study to the Judge's Panel (Online via. Google Meet)

** Update As per the latest orders from Government of Karnataka, Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19 all the offline activities are suspended from 06-01-2022 in Engineering Colleges of Bengaluru Urban Region. Considering the same, we are now shifting our event online. The event will be Open for all.

Awards & Prizes:

• One of the best case studies from the competition will get a chance to be featured on Youth Inc. Blog
• Winner Team: Win cash prize of INR 1,500 along with winning certificate(s) and vouchers
• Runner-Up Team: Win cash prize of INR 1,000 along with runner-up certificate(s) and vouchers
• Participants: Participation certificate along with exciting vouchers!

Rules & Procedure:

• The participants are expected to present an innovative, feasible, and relevant solution or strategy.
• Team Size: 1-3 members
• Plagiarized entries will not be accepted.
• The decision of the judges, sponsors and organizing team would be final and abiding.
• It is compulsory for at least one of the team members to be present during the presentation. If this criterion is not fulfilled, the team will be disqualified.
• All teams will present their solutions on the specified topic one by one at the assigned time slots.
• The time slot, PPT format, the maximum number of slides, distribution of points will be announced shortly.
